Muhammad Aslam Hayat has been appointed as Chief Corporate Affairs and Security Officer in Telenor Pakistan. He will be joining the company from 8 July 2013.

Mohammad Aslam Hayat ICT regulatory professionals currently ICT Regulatory Resource Centre Pacific (PIRRC) in Suva, Fiji, the World Bank project director of the Center (CEO).




 
In his role at PIRRC, he is responsible to engage with all Pacific ICT Regulators and Ministries. Before joining PIRRC, he worked in Grameenphone (a Telenor subsidiary), Bangladesh for five years mainly advising in legal, regulatory and stakeholder management matters, making strategies and building capacity of Corporate Affairs Division.


He also from 2004 to 2006 served as consultant, Telenor Pakistan's legal and regulatory matters. One of his major achievements in his first term, Pakistan mobile operator Telenor Pakistan to lead the team in limiting the mobility of WLL operators and regulatory authorities from the determination to succeed. He also helped get Pakistan Telenor LDI license, also helps MNP and the IMEI framework and Pakistan Telecommunication Law "(Re-organization) in 1996, in Pakistan Telecom" 2000 proposed amendments.
Ministry of Information Industry from 2002 to 2004 during his tenure, his team is engaged in the telecommunications deregulation policy in 2003, 2004 mobile cellular policy and universal service fund policies in 2006 in Pakistan, including information and communication technology policy part. He also drafted a variety of ICT law in Pakistan.
