PTCL Upgrades Broadband Student Package to 2Mbps for 2 Months

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced that the next two months, without any additional cost, students can experience a higher speed to 2Mbps.

Previously, the student package 1Mbps broadband connection speed of the user.

PTCL said that all students 1Mbps package holders automatically be upgraded to 2Mbps free. The offer is valid until June 30, 2013, 2 Mbps standard tariff of Rs. 1,299 per month will apply to July 1, 2013.

Subscribers, who wish to opt out of this offer can call 1236 or email at student.broadband@ptcl.net.pk.
Here are offer highlights:

• 2 Mbps Speed for the Price of 1 Mbps
• Unlimited Downloads
• All Student 1 Mbps Customers have been upgraded to Student 2 Mbps
• No additional charges till 30th June 2013
• From 1st July 2013 standard Student 2 Mbps tariff of Rs. 1,299 per month will be applicable
• All upgraded customer who do not wish to continue with Student 2 Mbps can revert back to Student 1 Mbps by calling “1236”

It merits mentioning here that PTCL customers are usually not happy with such short-duration free upgrades, after which they are charged the standard tariff without any discount.
