PTCL has said it has been extended to 535 electoral offices Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) used in preparation for the upcoming elections in the country's full support for a successful connection flagship services, including voice and broadband range of wired and wireless broadband.

Some remote site via VSAT technology is already connected.

Meanwhile, more than 500 offices of the central, regional and regional Returning Officer (ROS) ECP is also through the the PTCL network connection and other locations will soon be connected. PTCL said that this unique ability to render a nationwide service like ECP customers' needs as much as possible.

The ECP and UNDP Director-General has been provided to the state of the art across the country. It will enable the ECP and UNDP offices around the country, to transfer data while maintaining and ECP headquarters in Islamabad.

This is a major step to ensure the timely transmission of information, which in turn helps to show transparency in the electoral process.
