Gartner has released statistics of smart phones and mobile phone sales in the first quarter of 2013, Android smartphones grabbed 75% market share, the total sales of the smartphone, Samsung sold 30% of these smart phones, the first three months of the year.
Sold 2.1 million smartphones in the first quarter of the total 1.56 million units Android platform running on the device.
Smartphone sales in the first quarter year-on-year increase of 50% or 63 million units, and duration compared to last year, reaching 2.1 million units. This is almost half of the 425 million units overall mobile phone sales.
Gartner said that more than half of the phone, that is 226 million units, sales in Asia Pacific only.
Samsung is still the largest mobile phone vendors. Its smartphone share reached 30.8%, up 3.2 percentage points from the first quarter of 2012. Samsung is expected to further consolidate its position with the recently launched Galaxy S4.
Nokia mobile phone share fell by 4.9%, of course, because less-enabled mobile phone sales in the quarter. Nokia Windows Phone sales of 5.1 million units.
